Prairie Style...

My incredibly talented and utterly lovely friend Fifi O'neill
is launching a new magazine this May.
Prairie Style

I know a lot of you already know Fifi - it's a small world and this little french lady really gets around.
She is editor, stylist and author of - 3..no 4...I've lost count, it could be 5- magazines and books.
I don't know how she does it all.

This issue has farmhouses, a Virginia beekeeper, sheep and Ralph Lauren...
you know they had me with the sheep!

It also features springtime recipes pulled from my book
Sorbet, pavlova, iced teas, rhubarb jam ....
If you'd like to pre-order click here.
Available in bookstores this May.

Farm Life...

Between the chickens, vegetable garden and giant nest of ladybugs I found in the bee hive boxes, I thought life was pretty exciting.

Then I went out to Farmhouse cheese.

It's baby goat season.
He or she is one day old - is standing in the sun with it's eyes closed smiling.

 Seriously adorable.
This could be my missing goat.

These ones were pretty 'fresh' and must have come out the night before.

This big boy was rather serious...

..and this guy, well, I have no idea what he's thinking, but it's not good.

The ladies are lovely as always.

We bought some of their 2 year old aged cheddar - so amazing.

If you can get out there, it's worth the drive.

I think I'm making headway with my husband on getting some sheep after this day.

Spring Break...

I really have the best job ever...

producing happy stories with pretty things..

..and I get to make things that I otherwise wouldn't think about trying.
Like fortune cookies!!

..and when life isn't so busy, I get to hang with my girls..

watch the garden grow...

and teach my girl to knit.
I am very grateful.
